About

Frontbum were formed back in 1982 by Guitarist Butch Bum Frontbum and his co-defendant Lead Singer Larry Long Ladder, who were mysteriously acquitted of any wrong doing after the Farm Gate Affair of 1981, a news story that sent shock waves through the record industry at the time.
Larry recalls “It was a real exciting time, facing 20 years in prison one minute then being the front man in a Rock ‘N’ Roll band the next, it was like taking sweets from a kid… initially you feel awful then you get a nice fruity taste in your mouth”
It hasn’t all been a smooth roller coaster ride to stardom; at the height of their success during the 80’s Frontbum suffered from their fair share of bad luck stories. Who could forget Butch’s much-publicized split from Super Model Steph L’Airfix and his terrible addiction to flower arranging that has haunted him for the past 20 years before finally going through rehab in 2006.
If this wasn’t enough, Larry was then caught cycling naked up the red carpet to the Oscars, an image that answered most peoples question about which side the saddle bag should hang on a bike, the episode ended with a jail sentence when Larry parked his bike in an actress later that evening.
It doesn’t seem possible that twelve months have past since the almighty Frontbum lit up a wet Sunday night in Halesworth with their award winning live show. A show that has seen them pick up no less than 10 awards, winning USA Band Of The Year 2008 for the third year in a row and USA Tour Of The Year 2008 for a record equalling fifth time. On a more serious note the band were also voted “Sexiest Male Group” by the UK’s best selling female magazine: “Size Does Matter”.
Always surrounded by controversy, this year has been no exception for Frontbum following the banishment of their latest live album in Fountain Hills, Arizona following the allegations made by local priest Clyde Duncan who branded Frontbum  “The five horseman of the apocalypse” (1 worse than the 4 featured in the bible).
The band fiercely denied the allegations aimed at them by Priest Clyde and to this day proclaim their innocence. Pronounced “Frontboom” the band name had never caused an issue until an English audience translated the name in a way that can only be described as somewhat jovial. In the suburbs of Arizona an accidental slip of the tongue didn’t go down very well.
Since the mysterious disappearance of Priest Clyde, Frontbum headed for the hills and then to the airport to embark on what will become the third leg of their critically acclaimed “Don’t Put That There Tour”.
Featuring legendary front man Larry Long Adder and guitar wizard Butch Bum Frontbum, this years line up includes ex marine Sgt Floyd Thunderfingers on keyboards/guitar, former Girl-toy bass player Dr Casanova Lovewhips and noise merchant Victor Von Hammerstein on drums.
